David is a lifelong entrepreneur with a background in building successful companies across marketing, branding, and technology. He founded BOOMITY to create purpose-driven engagement platforms that help people feel more connected across professional, community, and health settings. Inspired by firsthand experience, David saw the powerful, measurable impact that connecting people around shared challenges can have. Today, he applies decades of experience to building technology that strengthens connection, belonging, and participation.

Joan’s professional journey spans leadership roles at companies like EDS, HP, MCI, and NDS, where she specialized in custom application development for IT startups. However, her work with BOOMITY|Health is deeply personal. Years ago, Joan had a premature baby and experienced firsthand the strong desire to connect with others going through similar situations. This experience motivated her to join David in creating solutions that foster connection and support for those facing similar health challenges. With her extensive experience in community engagement software ventures, Joan is driven to turn this vision into reality—helping people overcome the emotional and social hurdles that often accompany health struggles.

Formerly an IT Consultant for Efficio Technologies, he now leads the global technical team, ensuring the platform is both scalable and robust. Currently serving as Chief of Acute Care Analytics at Providence, Tate has a proven track record of improving care quality and operational efficiency in large healthcare organizations. His leadership roles at Elsevier, Ascension, and FirstCare Health Plans have centered on leveraging advanced analytics to drive meaningful outcomes, from saving millions in operational costs to implementing cutting-edge data systems. As a respected author with over 60 published works, Tate’s expertise continues to shape the future of healthcare analytics. His insights and guidance are invaluable as BOOMITY|Health strives to create impactful solutions for those facing health challenges.
Dr. Marvin (Marv) Southard
LCSW, DSW
Dr. Marvin Southard brings decades of leadership in mental health services as the former Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH), the largest county-run mental health organization in the U.S. At LACDMH, Marv led programs supporting over 250,000 people annually, pioneering urgent care centers, crisis response teams, and partnerships enhancing community access and equity. His leadership experience also includes roles as Director of Mental Health in Kern County and guiding behavioral health initiatives in East Los Angeles.Currently, Marv is a Co-Founder and Partner at Capstone Solutions, providing strategic tools that empower social sector organizations to maximize their impact and promote equitable communities. He previously served as a Professor of Practice at USC, where he developed the Professional DSW program to mentor emerging leaders.

Thomas Bartlett
Thomas Bartlett is a prominent patient advocate for Myasthenia Gravis (MG), a rare autoimmune neuromuscular disease. He is a frequent speaker and author, sharing his experience living with an invisible rare disease, His advocacy and mission includes promoting using digital tools for real-time symptom tracking to provide clinicians with actionable data, moving beyond infrequent office visits and stresses hope, faith in science, and giving back to the community as crucial elements in living with a chronic, invisible illness. . He has been a consultant and Technology Advisor to Regeneron, Alexion. argenx, J&J MGFA, SkyMedia AI, Amgen and more. Prior to his work as a speaker Tom spent 40 years, in technology with organizations such as Harvard, Apple, Dell, BioTeam. Tom's insights as a patient, advocate, advisor to Pharma and technology professional are invaluable to us as BOOMITY|health creates solutions for patients like himself that also solve important needs for the industry.
